2024 HR Tech Conference Reaffirms Position as Premier Global Event on HR Innovation

Cutting-Edge Experiences Drive Immersive Interaction and Lasting Connections.

The 2024 HR Technology Conference & Exposition, produced by HR Executive, came to a successful close at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, bringing together over 7,200 industry professionals from around the world. Witnessing a remarkable 52% increase in attendance from qualified HR leaders, the event solidified its position as the largest and most influential gathering for HR and technology innovators.

Decision-makers and their teams from 41 countries and 49 states convened to learn about cutting-edge technologies aimed at driving HR strategies essential to business success. This year’s event reimagined its approach, placing greater emphasis on attendee engagement and focusing on partnerships with key organizations such as i4cp and IHRIM, which attracted a diverse mix of senior HR and HRIS professionals.

“We strategically evolved the conference to foster deeper engagement and deliver more value for HR leaders,” said Katherine Childress, Vice President of Events. “Our collaboration with key industry partners resulted in higher satisfaction and stronger connections among attendees, and we’re excited to build on this momentum in future years.”

The 2024 conference featured over 200 educational sessions, including the Women in HR Technology Summit and keynotes by industry thought leaders Josh Bersin and Charlene Li, who both shared insights on the impact of AI in HR, and recognized futurist Ravin Jesuthasan, who highlighted how organizations can better adapt to the future of work by focusing on skills rather than predefined jobs.  “This year’s sessions focused on the transformative impact of AI, offering HR leaders actionable insights on leveraging technology and adopting skills-based strategies to better prepare for the future of work,” said Rebecca McKenna, SVP of HR Portfolio.

The conference saw a boost in overall attendee satisfaction, achieving an NPS score of 34 —up more than 5% from last year and surpassing industry benchmarks by the same margin. “This year’s surge in HR leader participation and positive feedback highlights the industry’s commitment to embracing innovation and optimizing people strategies,” added Lee Ann Tiemann, Marketing Director, HR Conferences.

Emerging Technologies and Industry Transformation: Shaping the Future of HR

Featuring 421 exhibitors and covering more than 100,000 square feet of exhibit space, the event stands as the largest vendor-agnostic exposition of HR technology, showcasing breakthrough innovations in HR and workplace solutions.

HR Tech has become a key destination for startups and investors, largely due to the success of the Startup Pavilion and the dynamic Pitchfest competition. Over 300 investors participated this year, engaging directly with early-stage companies offering disruptive solutions in areas such as AI-driven recruitment, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion. The Pitchfest competition saw 30 companies compete for top honors, showcasing transformative ideas that are shaping the future of work. HireBrain, this year’s Pitchfest winner, captivated judges with a solution designed to bridge communication gaps between hiring managers and recruiters.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Global Reach and a Refreshed Brand

This year’s event also marked the debut of a refreshed brand identity, transitioning from the long-standing name of HR Technology Conference & Exposition to simply HR Tech, An HR Executive event. The rebrand highlights the synergy between HR Executive’s thought leadership and its event series, reinforcing the alignment between the media platform’s coverage and the solutions showcased at the conference.

In response to the growing demand for innovation in HR technology, HR Executive has announced future dates and locations for the HR Tech conference series:

  • HR Tech Europe: March 4-5, 2025, Amsterdam
  • HR Tech Asia: May 5-8, 2025, Singapore
  • HR Tech: September 16-18, 2025, Las Vegas

“The success of HR Tech 2024 is not only measured by attendance numbers but by the quality of connections made and the tangible impact of the discussions and networking opportunities,” Childress said. “We look forward to building on this year’s achievements to continue to provide a platform where HR leaders can engage with the latest innovations and collectively shape the future of the industry.”
